HHDA philosophy: Welcome to H & H Dance Academy where we pride ourselves in creating a family enriched environment for every student to enjoy and grow at their level. Our certified staff is professionally trained with many years of teaching experience and are passionate at what they do. The studio is equipped with three dance rooms, ample parking and our newly renovated waiting room. Each dance room is equipped with CCTV cameras with a viewing TV in the waiting room. Class viewings are scheduled. All classrooms are age appropriate and focus on teaching a love of the arts through a disciplined stress free environment. Children are invited to express themselves and gain all that dance has to offer.

Classes are offered in: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop,
Cheerdance, College and Adult Classes, Latin Fitness, Aerobics and Competition
classes. Classes are offered for preschoolers through adults from beginner to advanced
levels.

Sign up now for Summer Dance Programs!!!
We are offering many classes and camps throughout the summer for all ages. Registser early to ensure placment. Last year we had to close many dance camps due to full enrollment. We also are offering 4 intensive dance weeks of classes, ages 8 and older are welcome to attend. In the camps and classes we offer different types of dance and it is a great way to try something new. Our Summer Dance Schedule is here. Recital T-Shirts are available for order! The shirts are orange this year. Check the display in the waiting room. Youth Shirts are $16.00 and Adults are $18.00. The deadline for all shirts will be Monday, May 21st. RECITAL TICKETS-Go on sale Friday, May 11th. In order to purchase tickets, your account must be paid in full (inlcuding June's half month tuition). We DO NOT HOLD or reserve any tickets. To ensure every family has equal opportunity to purchase tickets, we limit tickets sales in the beginning to 7 tickets a dancer per show and 10 tickets a family. If you purchase a smaller amount then 7, we do not "hold" the remaining tickets. There has been confusion about this in the past. Once a family has purchased tickets, you will be crossed off our list. We are pleased to say that we have not raised this price since we started four years ago. Help Needed: You will find in the waiting room a sign up sheet for our backstage volunteers. People who sign up to help must be committed to staying for the duration of the show and arrive an hour early to help. Without our volunteers, the show could not go on. Volunteers who sign up allow the show to run smoothly by watching the children backstage, helping with bathroom runs and costume changes as well as occupying the dancers once their dances are done. Backstage the children are allowed to watch a direct feed of the recital, play games and make crafts. If you are interested please sign your name up on the wall no later than May 21st to ensure your name makes it into our recital program. We will have a meeting for all new volunteers on Wednesday 23rd. If your dancer(s) are in more then one show, it is a great idea to work one show and watch the other. When you volunteer backstage, you can still see your performers dance. We allow the room mom to watch from the side wings when their children are dancing. If you have any questions please let us know. We will need a lot of volunteers to make our 4 shows successful! H & H would like to thank you in advance for your help! The ad deadline is Monday, May 21st. We ofer quarter page size, half page size and full page size ads. Please see the link below for pricing information. We also have "LOVE LINES". Love lines are $5.00 a line and is an inexpensive way off showing recognition to your dancers and wishing them luck in the show. Please remember to email the love lines to hhdanceacademy@yahoo.com. We have received some great ads in so far. Keep them coming! There are examples of ads throughout the waiting room. Please click here for pricing information. Picture Day Picture Day is Friday, May 11th and Saturday May 12th. The studio will be closed on both of those days for regular dance classes. Please refer to the schedule to know the proper time to arrive. Our picture days run smoothly and are very well organized. Parents are asked to wait in the waiting room to allow the photographers to do what they do best, photograph your child. Group pictures are taken first upstairs in the green room. After group pictures, children are invited to go downstairs into the yellow room where there are 2 photographers to capture their individual pictures. If you are unable to attend picture day, please let the office know. Know that you can come anytime Friday or Saturday to have individual pictures taken, if the allotted time does not work for your family. You are not obligated to purchase anything, therefore we recommend taking pictures in all your costumes. This way you are sure to like a least one pose. Picture Pick-Up Day will be Monday, May 21st from 3-8. If you can not make it in, they will mail you the proofs, however it will cost a little more to do it this way. There will be no stretch and conditioning class on this day, however all other classes will run as scheduled. Donner Photography does take credit cards.
Wish Me Luck Wish Me Luck is an organization that allows parents and students to wish dancers luck on the big day of the recital. Dancers and parents will be able to purchase Rubber Ducks with a personal message on it that is distributed to the dancers the day of the performances. There are over 30 different ducks to choose from and is only $2.00 a piece. HHDA has nothing to do with the organization of these ducks. Wish Me Luck will be available on picture day as well as all 4 dress rehearsals for purchasing. Any questions just ask! Last Dancer's Night Out Last Dancer's Night Out of the season will be Friday, June 8th from 6:45-8:45.
Upcoming EventsPerformance Team Dancers will once again be dancing at a Worcester Tornadoes Game on Saturday, June 2nd. Last year we had a blast. Hope you can come and support our dancers. More info to follow... Customer Appreciation WeekWe will have Customer Appreciation Week during the first week of June. Stop into the studio for some coffee and a chance to be selected for our daily free drawings. HHDA is excited to present our Night of Stars Performance on Friday, June 15 at 7:00. Don't forget about our special performance "A Night of Stars" on Friday, June 15th at 7 o'clock at Millbury Memorial Jr./Sr. High School. The show will be a little over an hour long. It is a great way for the younger dancers to see the "big girls" dance. This is a night of celebration for our 2 graduating seniors, competition and performance teams. Come check out our award winning numbers. Tickets are $5.00 each and will go on sale this Friday. Proceeds from this show will be happily donated to Lily's Pad. Bring your friends! Come support a great cause and have fun while doing it.

Recital Dates 2012June 23rd Saturday afternoon 1:30pm NEW Dress Rehearsal Schedule DRESS REHEARSAL AND RECITAL TIPS The recital show order has been announced. More News and DatesNew England Dance WorkshopWe are inviting any student over the age of 8 to attend a fabulous workshop with famous choreographers from all over the world. The convention will take place in New Hampshire on July 25th and July 26th . It is a wonderful experience for all the dancers. If you are interested in this New England Dance Workshop, please see Heather or Heidi for further details. Last day of classes will be Saturday, June 16th. Please remember no personal checks will be taken for the remainder of the 2012 dance season after June 12th. Thank you! Congratulations to our Competition Teams who did an outstanding job this competition season! There were many first this competition season including first time soloist, and first time group dancers and everyone did an incredible job. Our girls were recognized with several high scoring numbers, speciality judges awards, invitations to Nationals and received Performance National Team Nominations. The teachers are all extremely proud of you! Learn more about joining Competition Team. Disney Trip 2013 HHDA will once again be dancing down Main St. USA. Last year we took several dancers to Florida to dance in the Christmas Day Spectacular Parade which is aired on NBC Christmas morning. It was such a positive experience, that we would like to offer this opportunity to more families. If you are interested or planning on going, please email H and H. We will be having a meeting sooner then later to discuss fundraising details. Fall Registration 2012-2013 Dance Season The fall schedule will be available shortly after the recital. Brochures will be mailed to your homes in July. Our open house registration will be August 1. You do not have to wait until August to register. Once you receive the brochure, you may register for your desired classes by phone, email or online. Register early, we will be limiting the number of dancers in each class more carefully next year.Of course, shoes and apparel will be available at our open house registrations. Due to our growing studio H&H has hired some new teachers for the fall. They are all passionate and energetic and will make a great addition to our already fabulous staff. We all love what we do and are so lucky to be able to inspire so many fabulous young dancers! Thank you for choosing HHDA for your child's dance education. The faculty and several students recently went to the Pulse. The Pulse is a dance convention like no other. It is taught by famous choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance. We met and took classes from Brian Friedman, Chris Judd, Wade Robson and Dave Scott to name a few. We all learned so much and had an amazing inspiring weekend. Dancers ages 14 and up mark your calendars, The Pulse on Tour will be coming back to Boston next year during February vacation and we will absolutely be going!
